If you don’t follow me on the twitterz, or if you missed my rarely-updated status on the evil that is facebook (hurry up, Diaspora!), you might’ve missed the news Hill and I were shouting at the internet last Thursday.
Ahem.
OMGOMGOMG WE HAVE AN AGENT NOW OMG.
We will be represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Literary Agency, and yes I just pinched myself and no, I didn’t wake up. We talked to her for about 45 minutes on Thursday afternoon, and she was just ten kinds of awesome.
Hill has a post up about what we’ve been doing the last few months, and I wrote one a few months back, as well, if you need a refresher on the whole getting-published process.
So, what’s next?
Well, we’re easing into that part. We’ll be doing some edits to the book, then when it’s all nice and neat, it’ll go out to editors.
That still feels so unreal to type.
So, yes, our agent (holy shit, I’m really writing that) will send it along to some editors. And hopefully, one of them will go, “I LOVE THIS AND WANT TO SELL SQUILLIONS.”
And then I’ll be posting about our release date.
(Okay, there’ll be other steps in between, including more rounds of editing, but that’s a post for another day.)
